I’m julien, Julien virgin

What’s up, I’m Julien Virgin — an independent multimedia journalist and DJ.

I love meeting new people, talking to them about life and learning from their experiences. My passion is documenting their stories and finding the Jewel within it that I can take along my journey.

I also find great pleasure in spinning’ records — or as most like to calling it DJ-ing. I began learning the craft in college after I began my radio career as a producer/host at WRAS Atlanta, 88.5fm of my original show called "The Wave". The show was a wave of positivity, where I incorporated underground music with interviews I conducted with everyday people in the community. This groundbreaking radio experience garnered the attention of listeners worldwide.

Following graduation in 2016, I advanced into corporate media, taking a job at Entercom Radio Atlanta (WVEE/WAOK/WGZC). During my tenure I engineered, produced live talk shows and wrote/delivered news and sports updates on-air for multiple stations.

My radio experience created opportunities to spin records at venues around the city. My portfolio includes residencies at some of Atlanta's most prominent restaurants, bars, and lounges, including Barcelona Wine Bar, the Loews Hotel, Noni's Bar & Deli, Graveyard Tavern, and El Bar.

I work with both local and global corporate clients to provide entertainment in the city's major event venues such as the Mercedes Benz Stadium, Fox Theatre, Georgia Aquarium, The Gathering Spot and WeWork to name a few! I live for playing classic and current tunes while hosting social groups in all sizes and demographics for a wide range of events.

Currently, I work independently covering mixed martial arts, music, entrepreneurship and culture in Atlanta.

My hobbies include riding my bike, watching sports, training ju-jitsu, playing video games and exploring parks around country.

Lastly, but most importantly, i’m a dad to a beautiful girl named Sorai. Fatherhood is unique, challenging, interesting but ultimately fruitful in so many ways. I’m learning and growing each day as a man, a partner and a father (Check out our vlog in Savannah, GA)
