Sean Palani explains the Atlanta Guys Dinner Group (AGDG)

Once a month the Atlanta Guys Dinner Group (AGDG) breaks bread — for a cause — at a different restaurant in Atlanta. January’s meeting took place at Nina & Rafi’s Pizza Bar along the Atlanta Beltline. 24 men ranging in age from all walks of life gathered to enjoy good eats for good deeds and build relationships with each other.

“Surround yourself with people who motivate you, want the best for you and challenge you,” said Sean Palani, Co-founder of AGDG.

As someone who has worked in food and hospitality since teenage years, Palani takes pride in each gathering and values the community of men that unite to contribute to a cause. A non-profit organization is selected and supported by the group each dinner.

“They’re a lot of people out there who need assistance and aren’t aware of the resources available to them — we as a group have a lot of resources so we figured let’s get together and pull those resources for those in need,” said Palani.

January’s gathering marked the 48th meeting of AGDG. Palani’s goals moving forward is to continue to bring men together each month, help restaurants remain open and raise his two twin boys into good humans.
