Will Hill and Hollywood Cole discuss joint project Hollywood Hill with Julien Virgin

June 24, 2020 - Will Hill and Hollywood Cole recently released their second collaborative studio album Hollywood Hill and discussed the project, their working relationship and life as entrepreneurs in an exclusive interview with Julien Virgin.
The 10 track album showcases their musical range in a blend of Hip-Hop and R&B melodies.
“I just want to show my range with this one,” said Cole, whose produced for Dom Kennedy among others adding, “I really wanted to expand and challenge [Will Hill] as well.”
Hill and Cole released their first collaborative project Atlantafornia in February, which sonically blended west coast vibes with a down south bop.
The duo quickly followed up with Hollywood Hill two months later.
“And it don’t stop, we’re right back at it,” said Hill to open the album on “Pine Green 1’s”.
Both attribute their working chemistry as the reason why creating music together is a seamless process.
“The communication is there, we’re both laid back dudes,” said Cole.
Hill highlights his laid back lifestyle throughout the project but also acknowledges the “pain and struggle” of an up-incoming artist and entrepreneur.
“You got to put all the work in, you have to be your own boss, assistant, everything,” said Hill, who values being in charge of his own destiny, “The only way for it to work is to work.”

Despite the obstacles, both Hill and Cole enjoy champagne for the milestones; Vueve Cliquet, a French Champagne to be exact.
“Champaign is a liquid celebration,” said Hill who credits his mom and cousin for introducing him to the beverage adding, “Everybody pops Bel-Air, Moet… it’s just different. A little classy, Vuev.”
The champaign and music will continue to flow as Hill and Cole both hinted at a third collaboration project in July.
